We strive to prevent unnecessary exposure of the public to asbestos and poor indoor air quality in workplaces and State-owned buildings. Through our Outreach Program, we educate the public to gain voluntary compliance with state and federal environmental law. Construction Management and Professional Services Architectural Accessibility Seeking Clean and Renewable Energy Energy and Environment is the lead agency responsible for planning and managing the energy-related tasks for all buildings in State Government. These tasks include benchmarking and tracking energy usage, energy conservation and efficiency, clean and renewable energy procurement, and green building design while striving towards a clean energy economy. Managing Office Space and Property Real Property is responsible for negotiating leases on behalf of all State agencies; the acquisition of real property for State facilities; and the disposition of surplus real estate in accordance with State Law. The section administers over 110 lease agreements encompassing more than 1,700,000 square feet of office space at sites throughout the State, from Claymont to Laurel.
